"THE PINK THINK" St. Louis Breast Cancer Coalition
An Educational Walk Honoring Breast Cancer Survivors
Sunday October 20th, 2013 9:00 a.m.
Clydesdale Park Fox Run Fitness Trail Affton, MO.
In September 2012, Dr. Danielle envisioned an event honoring her mom -- Maureen Jordan -- a ten-year breast cancer survivor. In October 2012 this event was born. With the help of family and friends, Spine and Joint Center of Affton sponsored its first Breast Cancer Survivor Walk in South Saint Louis County's Clydesdale Park. The 2012 event raised $1500 for the Saint Louis Breast Cancer Coalition. For a first year with a little over a month of planning, this event proved we all care and can make a difference. This annual event is happening again Oct 20, 2013, and with the help of our community we'd like to raise $5000 for this organization this year.
The Pink Think is not an ordinary walk, our event hosts stations along the one mile course where walkers stop to learn something about breast cancer and the politics that effect patients and medical advancements. For a small fee sponsors can provide these stops, have a booth at the check-in / finish pavillion, and/or put marketing materials in our registration packets.
