Maybe you haven’t thought much about an engagement photo shoot. Maybe you have questions. Maybe you’re wondering when and why you would do the shoot. Maybe I can answer all of these! Here’s my take on engagement photo shoots:
Grab your fiancé and your prospective wedding day photographer for a romantic engagement photo shoot.
Engagement photo shoots are typically included in a photographer’s wedding package (you’ll want to double-check!). Get some cute snaps before the big day!
Go outside! The best lighting is natural lighting. Avoid the harsh mid-day sun and opt for a romantic early morning mist or an evening sunset glow. Pick a beautiful backdrop, like the Saint Louis Zoo, Art Hill, the Jewel Box, or Main Street in St. Charles (for my STL brides!) or do a little tour of meaningful places. Maybe you met on your college campus quad, or he bought you a new cone after you dropped your ice cream at Ted Drewe’s. Make your backdrop special to who you are as a couple.
Yes, it might be an extra expense. But engagement photos are important for…
Engagement shoots are great for adding that special memorable touch to your décor and your wedding album. The engagement is the first and one of the most exciting aspects of the wedding process, so you’ll want to remember it! Bianca and Jared did a shoot with Cami Wade before their big day and the photos (below) are just PERFECT. We love Cami Wade and Cody Krogman’s work – their engagement shoots are intimate and sweet. The shoot is just another excuse to show everyone that you’re the most beautiful fiancée, daughter, cousin, friend, and BRIDE!
